"It'not over until God says so" This morning, Mary and I were getting ready to go play some volleyball when we heard a loud noise. Something hit the window off the deck. I looked out and saw a bird on the ground. Mary asked if it was dead and then she said oh its eyes are moving. So I told her to keep Rocky inside and I went out to see if I could help the bird. I grabbed some paper towels and gently picked him up. He was still alive and even opening his mouth a bit (thinking I was hurting him) but as I was walking off the deck he became calmer. I thought he might still be badly hurt but if I put him on the tree, he might be able to recoup. And less likely critters and ants get on him. As I almost got him off the tree, he wanted to stay in the safe place of the paper towels but as I was shaking it a bit his wings expanded because one foot was on the tree and one on the paper towel. I shook a bit more and wings expanded a bit more and just like that he was able to fly away. Often in this walk, we just need someone to not give up on us, give us a helping hand, and encourage us to move forward. And other times we are that person to others. So let's be that community that God has called us to be. Our ministries that we lead and or are apart of are often in the same place. Sometimes we need someone to pour into us, lift us up and encourage us in our ministries until we are ready to fly again. So if you are in this place, where you might feel the ministry is broken. It may feel like it's not growing, and don't know what the next steps will be. If that's you, I would love to have a discussion with you, talk through somethings and know how I can pray for you and your ministry God has placed you in. Have a blessed day
