God at Work Stories! This morning, @Carly Pfeifer shared a couple of what Appleton Alliance Church calls "God at Work" stories. "What do you think happens to a person after they die?" This question came from a softball player in XCEL's Community League Co-Ed Team at a dinner with Carly and her boyfriend. After Carly asked the player what she thought, Carly was able to share what the Scriptures say about this question, to which the player responded, "That makes sense." This interest and understanding are signs of God at work in her life. The second story was about another player on the Community League Co-Ed Team. While this player has been involved for many years, he hasn't shown a great deal of spiritual interest, until this past game. He mentioned to @Connie Hoehne that, if they did that "prayer thing" again, he would participate. (At the previous game, Connie and Carly gathered anyone interested to pray after the game around home plate.) Connie quickly responded and prayed. This initiative and participation on this man's part are also signs of God at work in his life. The Lord of the Harvest is at work. In both stories, this evidence of God's work came years into these relationships. I don't know about you but I need to hear stories like this - on a regular basis. I so easily lose perspective and get discouraged in my own efforts to reach people with the great Story of the Gospel. What ways do you let others in your ministry know about where God is at work?
